101 Beginner Quilting Series:: Basics

Whether you need to learn the skills to complete a quilt, need to brush up on quilting techniques, or just want company for a quick project, BEGINNER QUILTING is the class series for you. In just 5 short classes (3 hours each), you will start and finish a lap quilt.

102 Beginner Quilting Series:: Constructing Blocks and Rows

This is the 2nd class in our Beginning Quilting Series. In this session, you learn how to cut out your design, assemble the block and produce your first row.

103 Beginner Quilting Series:: Rows, Borders, Backing

This is the 3rd class in the Beginning Quilting Series. In this class, you will assemble the rows, put on your borders, and make your backing.

104 Beginner Quilting Series:: Stitch in the Ditch Quilting

This is the 4th class in our Beginner Quilting Series. In this class, you will sandwich your backing, batting, and quilt top...and then learn to machine quilt using the "stitch in the ditch" technique.

105 Beginner Quilting Series:: Binding

This is the 5th class in our Beginner Quilting Series. You will finish your quilt in this class by constructing and applying binding.

Beginner Sewing Series

111 Beginner Sewing Series:: Basics

This 5 class series is designed for the VERY beginning student. You will start at step one with common sewing terminologies, how to use your machine for basic sewing, about fabrics, how to sew a straight line and curves with exercises, how to press, basic tools and how to use them.

Learn basic seams, how to press them, trim them and how to turn, clip and trim corners.

113 Beginner Sewing Series:: Make a Pillowcase

Use your newly acquired skills and construct a pillowcase.

114/115 Beginner Sewing Series:: Make PJ or Lounge Pants

You will cut out a pattern, learn to sew it together, insert a pocket, elastic casing, button-hole fly, and blind hem the bottoms.

Unfinished projects piling up in your sewing room? Questions on how to complete (or start) a project? QUILTING OR TRADITIONAL SEWING, please join us. An open sewing studio where individuals are welcome to sit, stitch, and socialize while also getting help with sewing related issues. An experienced member of the RYCO staff will be available to help in whatever way possible. Meetings are held every even numbered Sunday of the month 12:00pm to 4:00pm.

T-Shirt Quilt

Turn those T-shirts you have been collecting into a warm quilt full of memories. You will learn how to cut squares from the shirts and interface them to eliminate the stretch in the shirt fabric. Technique Block of the Month with Judy Lancaster

This really innovative block of the month class. Each month you will learn a new Technique—cut n’ fold, curves, English paper piece are some. A Total of 9 blocks plus a border class. One block per month. One new technique per block. The final border class will be free to any student attending all 9 block classes. The class meets every 2nd Saturday of the month (except October).
