This 5 class series is designed for the VERY beginning student. You will start at step one with how to use your machine, about fabrics, how to sew various types of seams, how to press, how to use basic tools, etc. Then you will sew three projects - a pillow case. an apron and a tote bag

Quilting Classes

Learn a new quilting applique technique each month. If you complete all 9 classes, the 10th class - is free. Each class is $10, payable at the class. The new set of classes is starting in September 2014. Classes will be from 12:30 to 3:30 PM and on the 2nd Sunday of the month except May 4 and June 7. The new schedule is listed below. This class is full. A second class is starting Janurary 2015 and is on Saturdays from 1:30 to 4:30 PM. You can sign up by contacting me at wlancaster@cox.net or at RYCO.

Make a beautiful 41" square baby quilt using a strip set method of making the rail fence blocks and add a paper pieced center to make it special. You do not need experience in paper piecing to do the center block.

This quilt gives you the opportunity to use some of the fabrics left over from other projects to create whatever size quilt you would like.

In this class you will be learning 7 ways to make half square triangles which will be used to create a 60" X 60" quilt. As you are learning each method, you are making the 6" quilt blocks. You can arrange your blocks in any way you choose.

This will be an all-day class to make a quilt that is approximately 60" X 60". You will receive a supply list and cutting instructions to do before the class.

Learn how to use one fabric to create a quilt top with a unique design of hexagons. The size of the quilt depends on the size of the pattern repeat on the fabric you choose.

The PhD part stands for Projects Half Done. This part of the class is where you can bring in a project from one of my classes that you need more time or help with and I will be able to work with you.

Learn to quilt in a hoop with your embroidery machine. You can bring any machine and pick your choice of a Anita Good design. Put that embroidery machine to work making a truly beautiful quilt and Sandie makes it easy

You can make this project as a free form table runner or add it to a rectangular background. You will be using a 10 degree wedge ruler (It can also be made with a 9 degree wedge ruler.)

This really innovative block of the month class. Each month you will learn a new Technique—cut n’ fold, curves, English paper piece are some. A Total of 9 blocks plus a border class. One block per month. One new technique per block. The final border class will be free to any student attending all 9 block classes. The class meets every 2nd Saturday of the month (except October). Each class is $10.

This table topper is approximately 42" wide and is made with a 60 degree ruler and a border print fabric. You could also use this as a center medallion in a quilt. $20 per class. The class is currently full, but there is a waiting list for 2016.
